Work begins on the old medieval prison of Marchena as the headquarters of the new Archaeological Museum.

The project contemplates the rehabilitation of the old warehouse that occupied the prison and the annex building, now a home, for the creation of a large museum complex that allows the municipality to display the numerous assets it owns. Among the different actions, the opening of the street that existed between the buildings and the creation of a large patio as a new access to the complex is contemplated. An assembly hall, exhibition areas and a restaurant space complete the spaces planned for this important protected property.
